Synchronicity and Sacred Space is based on Jon Turk’s adventures in the northern regions of Siberia chronicled in his book, The Raven’s Gift.
Jon was nominated as one of the top ten explorer’s of the year by National Geographic in 2012 and his adventure circumnavigating Ellesmere Island in the Canadian Artic was featured at 5 Point Film Festival in April of that year.
Weber Dance, a contemporary concert dance company explores the possibilities of the vast expanse of human expression revealed through the extraordinary dynamic nuance of the body in motion. The company, from Boston, Massachusetts was founded by Jody Weber in 2008.
Jon introduces each act of the performance with stories from his book about his adventures in the Siberian wilderness and centrally his relationship with Moolynaut, a Koryuk shaman. Exquisitely staged and performed Synchronicity and Sacred Space is a not-to-be-missed event.
