World Peace and Prayer Day Honoring Sacred Sites

JUNE 21, 2014 – Summer Solstice

image002Come join in ceremony & offer prayers for peace & blessings for our Sacred Sites.
Share in songs, talking circle, drumming, dancing, and food.

A day for community to gather and celebrate Summer Solstice.

All are welcome to attend all or any of the three events planned for this day.

Sunrise @ 5:42 am – 9:00 am
Gather at Nuche Park

Nuche Park is located along SH 133 across from the turnoff to Prince Creek. No parking on site is available. Please park at Roaring Fork High School and shuttle down to Nuche park or ride your bicycle along the bike path.

11:00–3:00 pm A Feastway (potluck)
Gather at Sopris Park in the center of Carbondale.

Please bring your own blanket/chair, plate/utensils and a dish to share at the potluck feast. We also invite you to bring your drum, rattle, flute or any other instrument to join in the celebration

6:00 pm to Sunset @ 8:39 pm
Gather at Carbondale Nature (Dog) Park

Please park across from Carbondale Town Hall or along highway leading to park as parking below is very limited.

Free Admission to all events!

Donations are welcomed to cover expenses of the day!
