She will share her journey of authoring the book The Gift of Change – an important book for these times of personal and societal challenges that very often include the need for change. Dr. Clancy will discuss ways we can learn to embrace and accept change rather than resist and fear it. We will open tool boxes and learn to make better choices that can lead to a lifetime of more happiness and joy – the gift that change can give us.

Constance-Clancy-Fisher-EdDDr. Constance Clancy-Fisher is a licensed and nationally certified mental health therapist, hypnotherapist, holistic stress management instructor and author. She holds a doctorate degree from Nova University in Education and Master’s degree from Sam Houston State in Counseling Psychology. Connie has practiced privately as a counselor and consultant for over twenty-five years in Southwest Florida, has been a speaker on various topics related to stress, change and healing trauma. She has facilitated wellness retreats and Mindfulness Meditation classes throughout the country and is currently involved with facilitating Attitudinal Healing groups and Insights at the Aspen Chapel. She is the author of two books: Surviving Stress with a Healing Heart and The Gift of Change and has recorded a wellness meditation CD.

Connie has focused her post doctoral studies in the areas of mind-body medicine, stress management and spirituality, hypnotherapy, and optimal living including age and weight management. She lives in Old Snowmass with her husband Bob, her two Labrador Retrievers Ana and Ari, and Snookie the cat.
