Clugston-headshot-231x300Dr. Rick Clugston is a major architect of the Earth Charter Initiative, co-founder of the Ethics and Spirituality Initiative and the director of the Sustainable Development Program of Forum 21 Institute (a program that works with United Nations non-governmental organizations concerning the UN Sustainable Development Goals)

Dr. Kurt Johnson is co-author of The Coming Interspiritual Age (www.thecominginterspiritualage.com), a “Best Spiritual Book of KurtJohnsonpinkphoto2013” on the tasks of world religions and spirituality in Global Shift.  Kurt is co-founder, with interfaith/ interspiritual pioneer Bro. Wayne Teasdale, of “Interspiritual Dialogue” and its web resource, the Interspiritual Multiplex (www.isdna.org).

 

Mirabai StarrProfessor Mirabai Starr (www.mirabaistarr.com) is the author of critically acclaimed translations of the mystics and pioneering books on the interspiritual paradigm.  Born in New York to secular jewish parents she is well known for the breadth of her involvement in all aspects of the 60’s counterculture phenomenon, from traveling internationally during the seminal period of East/West spiritual convergence, involvement in the protests of the Vietnam War and Civil Rights eras, residence at the historic Lama Foundation, and her close life-long friendship with counterculture icon Ram Das.  Today she is a professor of Philosophy and World Religions at the University of New Mexico, Taos, and speaks and teaches nationally and internationally on the teachings of the mystics and contemplative practice.  She is also a certified bereavement counselor and conducts contemplative retreats and spiritual events throughout the world.  She has been associated with the Interspiritual Movement since its early years.

Rev. Mac Legerton
is a Christian contemplative and leader in the national Guild for Spiritual Guidance (www.spiritualguidance.org). He is Co-Founder andMac Legerton casual Executive Director of the Center for Community Action (CCA) in rural N.C. where he has served for 35 years, focusing on sustainability, poverty reduction, and social justice. CCA is one of the oldest, multi-racial, social justice organizations in the rural South.   In 2007, Rev. Legerton received the Distinguished Service to Rural Life Award of the Rural Sociological Society for his work in rural, social justice and sustainability in Robeson County, N.C., the most ethnically diverse, rural county in the nation. He is also co-founder of Feast DownEast, the local and regional food system in Southeastern N.C. He is an ordained minister in the Southern Conference of the United Church of Christ. He is co-ordained as an Eco-Minister, serving as National Coordinator of the Eco-Ministries Initiative of the Order of Universal Interfaith (http://www.ouni.org/community/unique-ministries/eco-ministry-eco-chaplaincy/) and Conference Developer and Eco-Ministries Coordinator with the Interspiritual Network and the Forum 21 Institute.

KarunaKaruna is an international teacher of well-being and transforming the complexities of modern life through the Yoga of Awareness (specializing in kundalini yoga, including child and pre-natal yoga, and the gifts of the Creative Arts) (www.lightonkundalini.com).

Rory McEntee, author, educator, and new monastic, works at an intersection of spirituality, education and culture. As a close friend andRory McEntee crpd mentee of the late Brother Wayne Teasdale, he participated in the founding of the Interspiritual movement. He is currently the administrator for the Snowmass InterSpiritual Dialogue, founded in 1984 by Father Thomas Keating, and Executive Director of the Foundation for New Monasticism. Rory collaborates with spiritual leaders across the religious spectrum, helping to form young people in contemplative and prophetic depth. He has worked as a teacher and vice principal in secondary education, is coauthor of The New Monasticism: An Interspiritual Manifesto for Contemplative Living (w/ Adam Bucko, Orbis Books, 2015), blogs for Huffington Post, and has a PhD (ABD) and M.A. in Mathematics from the University of Southern California.
