In this 1.5 hour presentation Barbe Chambliss, Ph.D., will give attendees a clear definition of the kind of Conscious Peacemaking done by the women in her book, Women Peacemakers: What We Can Learn from Them. Attendees will hear synopsis of five of the women’s work. They will understand why this kind of peacemaking has the power to make war irrelevant. They will learn 24 ideas to go about doing conscious peacemaking work.

ABOUT: Barbe has interviewed over fifty women peacemakers throughout the world. She is a former trauma therapist, a professional mediator, and organic farmer dedicated to discovering and bringing forth conscious acts of peace in a progressively chaotic world. She directed the volunteer Center for Conflict Resolution in Aspen, Colorado. She has taught mediation to over 500 children and adults in rural Colorado schools and she facilitates Restorative Justice Circles in her community.
