Intro to Stewardship of Life thru Regeneration with Lisa McKenzie, BSN, MEd, MBA
Wednesday, February 21st
6:30 to 8 pm
3rd Street Center, Board Room
520 S. Third Street, Carbondale
What does it mean to steward and live a regenerative life?
Only something that is alive is capable of regeneration. This is not something we manage or control. We can cultivate fertile conditions. We can invite and influence change. But life regenerates itself. The quality of the life that regenerates depends on how it is stewarded,
If we are to avoid reinforcing past harms… if we are to align ourselves with the intrinsic regenerative capacity of our landscapes, our organizations and our communities… and if we are to find our way to the promise of a more thrivable world, it is vital that we ground ourselves well in the at-once humble and inspired practice of stewarding life.
By participating in this class you will understand what is at stake and what is possible in shifting from a worldview of management and control to a stance of stewardship and regeneration.
You will learn life’s 4 universal design principles and understand how to begin to apply these principles in practice in your own specific project, with support from guiding frameworks and a community of peers.
You will hone your practice of sensing and supporting what will enable greater aliveness and regenerative capacity in your own work and community.
Your guide: Lisa McKenzie, BSN, MEd, MBA, has experience as an RN, school teacher, and meditation teacher. Lisa has focused her life in recent years on the study practice of regenerative living. She has taught the science and ethic of this lifestyle in school settings and in the community.
FEE: $15 at the door with cash or Venmo.
If there is interest Lisa will expand on this topic with 2 more classes to share tools and resources to ground a practice of regenerative living.
