Dr. Greg Feinsinger, founder of The Center for Prevention and Treatment of Disease through Nutrition, Peter Goldstein, founder of HippocratesDocs.com and the Just 1 Thing 4 Health program and Davi Nikent Center for Human Flourishing are collaborating to bring one of the leading experts in lifestyle medicine, Dr. Joel Furhman to Carbondale on Saturday, April 6th.
Dr Fuhrman is a board-certified family physician, six-time New York Times best-selling author and internationally recognized expert on nutrition and natural healing, who specializes in preventing and reversing disease through nutritional methods. He is the President of the Nutritional Research Foundation and on the faculty of Northern Arizona University, Health Sciences division.
Dr Fuhrman will take participants through the most critical and proven concepts that enable slowing of the aging process, prevention of cancer and prolongation of life.
He will review the scientific evidence showing we can win the war on cancer with adherence to a diet-style rich in anti-cancer phytochemicals; which also prevents against dementia. This diet-style is known as a Nutritarian Diet – a diet comprehensively rich in micronutrients including protective antioxidants and phytochemicals, which then also guards against excess caloric intake.
